Since 1951

Local eats, roundabout styles.

The Armview Restaurant is one of Halifax’s oldest eating establishments. First incorporated in 1951, the restaurant has undergone a number of changes in both size and appearance, but our commitment to serving the community has remained the same. We are proud to continue this tradition while at the same time offering a new spin on our product.

The Armview is a classic neighbourhood family diner… it’s perfect!

Had a nice visit today at Armview Restaurant and lounge. Staff was amazing and the service was great. I had ordered their fish cakes and sunny side eggs. Fish cakes were pretty good but maybe a little to much sage/summer savory also it seem a little crowded, overall it was pretty good 👍 I would recommend this establishment for a home cooked breakfast 😋. It seemed very busy today and well managed, the servers seemed to have it all under control.

This place is great. It's retained its classic diner style, but with an update. One half is perfect as a family restaurant, while the other half is a bar. Both halves are a really good ambiance. The meals are home-style. Nice variety.

Is there a better place to eat in Halifax? No, no there is not.

Quality homemade food at its finest! We had the halibut and the haddock ‐ both were delicious. Service by Jack was exceptional. Don't forget to have the apple crisp!

Good people, good atmosphere, great homecook food, is licenced and has that down east feel, no need to dress fancy, just down to earth people
